New York City

Jaunt Itinerary

Saturday

MORNING

Home Pick-Up & Private Airplane to New York City

Pack your bags!  We’re sending a chauffeur to pick you up at home and whisk you to the airport.  There you’ll walk onto our private large jet and skip the hassles of flying commercially.   Our stewardess will make sure that you’re comfortable during the flight.  In about an hour, we’ll land in New York.

Once we land, you’ll be greeted by a City Jaunts usher who will help you into our vehicles as we make our way into downtown Manhattan.

AFTERNOON

Brunch

You’ll get to know the other ladies in our group during brunch at a restaurant with light coastal Italian dishes, exceptional cocktails, ample opportunity for people-watching, and two stars rating by The New York Times.

Next, you’ll have a choice to make:

Andy Warhol Art Exhibition

Spend your afternoon at the Whitney Museum’s Andy Warhol Exhibition, the largest ever of the artist’s work.

  or Soho Walking Tour

Take a walking tour of New York’s Soho neighborhood including the High Line elevated park.

Afterward, a car will be waiting to take us to the hotel where you’ll have free time to relax.

A Gorgeous 5-star hotel

You’ll stay two (2) nights at 11Howard, a modern luxury hotel located in the Soho neighborhood. Occupying a former post office, you’ll immediately feel New York City’s unique energy and design sensibility. Beyer Blinder Belle, the hotel’s designers explain, “There are certain standards and expectations from being in New York that you try to be aware of. It’s a specific New Yorker state of mind with a northern European filtering of the actual design choices.”

Your private room accommodations include a King bed with double-weave wool bed throw, light oak floors, custom-crafted furniture, and high ceilings, as well as natural bamboo area rugs, and ceramic wall sculptures by Taiwanese artist Katie Yang. Bathrooms are stocked with organic bath products and finished in marble and brass.

EVENING

Dinner

Tonight you’re in for a treat.  After taking the Parisian dining scene by storm, internationally acclaimed chef Daniel Rose returns to his home soil with Le Coucou, his New York City collaboration with restaurateur Stephen Starr. The Roman and Williams-designed space is a gracious modern nod to fine European gastronomy, with crisp linens, flickering candles and whitewashed brick serving as a subtle framework for Rose’s vivid cooking. Updating classical French cuisine with charm and verve, Rose shrinks the intercontinental divide separating the City of the Light and the Big Apple, proving that the true essence of fine French dining can thrive in any time zone.

Next, you’ll have a difficult choice to make.  We’re giving you three options of where to see a performance tonight.  All will be packed with New Yorkers and presented in the City’s most exciting venues:

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at City Center

or The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center

or The Radio City Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall

Our ushers will be waiting for you after the performance and you’ll be driven back to the hotel.  We’ll enjoy a nightcap at The Blond bar and lounge, a seductively edgy space conveniently located at the hotel.

EVENING

Dinner

We’re heading to one of New York’s best views Manhatta, a new restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, combining sky-high views with the down-to-earth spirit of a neighborhood spot. Chef Jason Pfeifer cooks seasonal and soulful food inspired by French flavors, complemented by a wine menu deep in Burgundy. Perched sixty stories above Lower Manhattan, Manhatta offers stunning views of New York City, its bridges, and waterways.

After dinner, you can either

Relax at a Spa

We’re going to an ancient-style thermal bath spa where you’ll be able to take a dip in pools of varying temperatures.  You’ll also be treated to a massage.

  or Visit a Jazz Club

For jazz, we check out the evening’s club listings and select one with the most energy – fitting for our final night in the big city.

Our ushers will get you back to the hotel to call it a night.

Monday

In the morning, you’ll enjoy another breakfast in bed.  We’ll collect your luggage and take you back to Washington on our plane after which, a private car will get you home.
